Socrates quote on change

This quote from Socrates has me thinking about and all of the amazing things the huddl members have accomplished this year. I’ve seen friendships forged, personal battles won and overall progress being made. When you have post-traumatic stress it may seem like things will never get better. With a community on your side, knowing the battles you are facing, the climb doesn’t seem that bad.

We forge on into the future by building the new, building relationships and by building ourselves (and others) up.

I’ve been diagnosed with PTSD for over 20 years. I just discovered EMDR this week and it has already created the most significant improvement in my symptoms ever! I feel the most normal I have felt in my whole life. I also just discovered this week that I have Developmental PTSD, if anyone can relate to this would you please contact me since I’m experiencing many of the typical symptoms and it’s very unsettling. What an incredible week for self discovery! Thank you.

I can relate to your diagnosis of Developmental PTSD. Am I understanding correctly when I presume that D-PTSD is synonymous with Complex PTSD? I just refer to mine as “non-combat PTSD”. I have had a multitude of experiences that added into this cluster. If you ever want to chat, feel free. I’ve done some intense therapy in the past, and will be soon looking into other options as well. I’m glad to hear you’re noting a difference with EMDR. I have contemplated this being my next step. If you have any useful information regarding EMDR, I’m all ears.

      Take care,
