Rescue dogs paired with mother-daughter military veterans suffering from PTSD

Friday, June 28, is a memorable day for Daja Lacey and her mother, Sabrina Lacey, as reported by CBSNewYork on July 1, 2013. Both are veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and they each were paired with therapy dogs through the Paws of War program just one day after National PTSD Awareness Day.

    What a great idea! I can’t think of a better source of peace and consolation for someone suffering from PTSD than the unconditional love of a pet.
